A word form the Headteacher

Dear Parents / Guardians

Here we are at the end of a very unusual year once more!  Who would have predicted that we would once again have extended periods of lock-down as a result of the COVID situation.  I would like to thank you as parents for your support for us during this challenging time.  I would also like to congratulate all our pupils for the very positive and mature way in which they have responded to the situation of dealing with COVID over the past year.  They deserve to be praised for their ability to adapt to the new conditions on the site and the way in which they have taken on the challenge of online learning and participating in live lessons. 

As you can see, even though it has not been possible for us to hold every event that we normally do as a school, for example the school Eisteddfod, it has, nevertheless, been a very busy year for us here at Ysgol Brynrefail. We hope to return to some form of normality next year. In the meantime may I wish you and your families all the very best over the Summer holidays.
